Skilled Luthier, to teach in our Guitar Luthiery School

We are looking for an individual who is experienced in building guitars; electric, bass guitars and acoustic guitars if possible.  We need someone who is confident in their work and in their ability to share their knowledge.  Someone who is patient as they will have to teach students with varying levels of woodworking experience.  We have students from all over the world, but the applicant will need to be based in the UK or EU and have a good grasp of English, communication is a key component of this position.

The applicant must be able to work as part of a team, have a good sense of humour and be able to work hard to meet deadlines.  We’d like you to be able to use your own initiative and think on your feet, no two students are the same and each one brings their own set of challenges to the workshop.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching a varying number of students on a daily basis, the number can fluctuate between 4 – 14 on any given week.  (Don’t worry, you will never be on your own)
  • Managing the workshop and machine room, the health and safety of our students is a priority

Hours during a normal week will be from 9 am to 5 pm.  (Some courses run from 9 am until 7 pm and include Saturdays.)

We are located outside of Dorchester, in Piddlehinton; a car or some form of transport is essential, as there is no public transport up to Crimson Guitars.
